Christians are now targeted by all means. Is it now other religions have no place in this democratic Nation?

A big question has been raised by all the Churches and Christian Communities by daily seeing the viral posts on social media as why are Christians being targeted?

None of the the political parties aim at destroying any religious beliefs but there are some people within the country who wish only to create nuisance amongst religious beliefs and thus all this has been happening currently.

Currently a news was circulated in all churches that, this happened at a graveyard which is almost over 115 years.The Bombay Catholic Sabha condemns the damaging and desecration of over a dozen crosses and graves at St. Michael’s Church, Mahim. They are expecting full protection to their Churches and graveyards in Mumbai.

Community says “we were shocked to know of the about mindless destruction and desecration of the graveyard”
The community has urged the police to ensure that those responsible be arrested, investigated and proceeded for further prosecution.

The community thanks Dolphy D’Souza, The President of The Bombay Catholic Sabha who passed on this message to all the churches on social websites which has awakened the whole community now.

A meeting was held on 6th Jan 2023 to ensure all this problems are discussed and prominent members from Mumbai came ahead to support this situation which has arised on the communal issues. Pastor Bernard David the President of Jeevan Dhara Welfare Association, Rupas Kalkatte the President of Masih Sena gave a word of bringing the community together to eradicate such issues.

The question still remains the same as “WHY ARE CHRISTIANS TARGETED?” Is there any political approach or a mindset of people with less education. Also why was the government blind since 115 years when this place was used for burying the loved ones.

The BMC has issued a demolition and takeover notice for the St. Peter’s seaside cemetery. This cemetery is over 115  years old with over 400 graves . The Cemetery is very sacred to many Christian families in Mumbai and also a place of worship and prayers for their loved and dear ones who are buried. No public purpose is seen served but an instance of harassing the Christian Community to help vested interests is the mindset of all Christians now.

The Church has now demanded that the BMC immediately withdraws this notice rather than destroying an inch of their Cemetery Land.

They have thought now of coming forward to oppose this injustice by arranging a campaign in all parts of Mumbai and if required also in all parts of Maharashtra.

Mrs. Cindrella Prabhu, Chief Editor of Freedom of Speech Media and Maharashtra President of International Human Rights and Crime Control Organization has come ahead with Jeevan Dhara Welfare Association and Masih Sena to support our brothers and sisters those are being harrased is such ways. Mrs. Cindrella Prabhu also being a part of Balasahebanchi Shivsena has commuted to arrange a communal meet of all Christians to ensure that Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri. Eknath Shinde Sir helps to eradicate such problems of Christians which are repeated daily either socially or by such deeds.

This news is just not a news but an article indeed to aware all the Christians to come forward to help each other when the question arises of communal issues.
